{"id":889,"date":"2025-11-06T09:52:52","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T08:52:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/educationphd.fisppa.unipd.it\/?page_id=889"},"modified":"2025-11-09T18:42:44","modified_gmt":"2025-11-09T17:42:44","slug":"visiting-phd-spef-programme","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/educationphd.fisppa.unipd.it\/en\/procedures\/visiting-phd-spef-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Visiting PhD &#8211; SPEF Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are very pleased to welcome PhD candidates from other universities, in Italy or abroad, who wish to spend a research period within the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">PhD Programme in Pedagogical, Educational and Formative Sciences (SPEF)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> at the FISPPA Department, University of Padua.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Visiting PhD Programme<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> represents a valuable opportunity for scientific exchange and collaboration, fostering dialogue among early-career researchers, the sharing of research methodologies, and the joint development of projects and ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Before planning the visit, it is important to consider a few organisational aspects that will help ensure the stay is well structured and consistent with the activities of the PhD Programme. Between November and December, interested PhD candidates are invited to identify a faculty member of the SPEF PhD Programme who can act as their host supervisor during the visit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To propose the research stay, candidates should send an email to the selected professor, copying the PhD Coordinator, and attach a short <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">concept paper<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> describing the research they intend to carry out during the stay, a concise <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">abstract<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of their doctoral project, and an updated list of their main publications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If the professor expresses interest, they will contact the PhD Coordinator and the administrative offices to initiate the necessary procedures. At the beginning of the visit, the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Visiting PhD Student<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> will receive a<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdbVQnZMLOUY41bQ5MizmpRh5svLKELqMsLGxWcntWK7ceguA\/viewform\"> <b>dedicated link<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to be filled in, which will inform the Department about the student\u2019s presence, the duration of the stay, and the main research focus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During the visit, the student will have the opportunity to take part in the scientific and training activities of the PhD Programme, sharing experiences and perspectives with professors and researchers of the Department.
